So edging closer to fit my Votex lower to my 2003 Quattro sport. ive been reading this guide but the fact pictures dont work its pretty useless.

Ultrasport lower with stock upper bumper how-to (lots of pics)

I didnt think i had to mod my current upper part of the bumper which is seen below to get the lower Votex fitted. thought the lower would fit striaght onto the current top.

If you go to the ome page on the link you can change the chassis model to what your car is as far as i remember. Think its at the bottom of the page. Its been a while since i looked at the link. :) x

As far as I recall the votex is simply glued over the original bumpers when fitted by the dealer/ factory, talk to your local Audi parts dealer there will be a bonding glue for it , proberbly the same as they sold me for my tailgate spoiler as apparently that is part of the votex kit.

If you look at google images of A4 votex body kit you will see the fog lights are in the same position so they obviously stay and the new grills fit over existing, i have never looked that closely at the votex kit, but other members who have it will have greater knowledge, I find my local Audi parts person very helpful so could always be worth a call, he will also tell you that replacement grills are like rocking horse pooh!!

When I fitted my votex lower on my old B6, I took off the bumper and unclipped the original lower half off the bumper.
The votex clipped into place in some parts but I did need to use some screws to securely fix it to the upper half. No other modifications needed to be made to the upper half at all. It was a lot easier than I expected.

I bought the grills off Stoke Audi, all three came to £210 ish!! I only paid £100 for the actual Votex brand new off ebay.

sounds good..... you'll have to get some pics posted

do you not think a cupra splitter might be a bit much with the votex front as it will already be quite deep ?

I got my votex + grills from local Audi dealer.
i phoned them up and ordered them and they arrived at Audi the next day.
i didn't remove anything,I just pulled it on over the old one.
its a tight fit so not that easy to get it on.
i used tiger seal to stick it.

ordered what i think are the 10 screws and clips. will have to have a proper look at it' dont like the idea of a standard lower behind it. might look terrible close up and especially through the honey comb grills

I painted the bits you can see through the grills black so you do not notice the old one behind it.

    Tiger seal for bonding.
so once it's on,it ain't ever coming off again.
no need for any real positioning.
put it on one side at wheel arch and pull it on at the other side at wheel arch.
it will look an inch or two short but it will go on.
Not sure if this was mention but you will take off your 3 old grills and won't need them again.
also don't be worried about what can be seen behind the new grills,as I said you won't notice anything if you paint inside them black.
it would look worse if u removed your old lower bumper as you might then be able to see straight through to the ground.
as u can see I used masking tape just to keep the top corners firm against the old one while the tiger seal set.
you should be able to get tiger seal at any motor factors.
    overnight to set.

You don't have to touch your fogs Paul.
when u have your new votex fitted, your new grills fit in place over your fogs.

Take off the old lower and fit it mate, it will look much neater. If you stick it over the old one it wont sit as flush etc.
The old bottom half is just clipped on and is removed quite easily.

Pretty sure the Vortex front and rear were only ever designed to be stuck on over the top of original bumpers. Trying to fit them any other way would be a bit risky I would have thought.

It will definitely sit flush going on without removing the old one.
why turn a quick simple job into a longer job when the result will be the same?
the hardest part is you have to pull it really hard to get it on and probably hurt your fingers doing so.
i forget whether or not you have to remove screws from the old bumper by the wheel arches and inside the old grills beforehand but
    from what I remember.
    step 1: remove old grills.
    step 2: apply tiger seal.
    step 3: fit new bumper.
step 4:apply masking tape at corners (see image above)
step 5: screw it on at wheel archs and at spaces for grills.
step 6: paint the parts of the old bumper that can be seen black.
    step 7: attach new grills:
step 8: stand back and admire the brilliant job you have done.
