Going to look at a car tomorrow so thought Id run a quick data check on it via the RAC for a £5. Thought it would at least let me know if the car was a write off or had money owing on it.
I entered the Reg to check if they had info on it and it says the DVLA hold no data for this vehicle.
I've tried it on a few sites and it says the same (hasn't cosm me anything yet as you don't pay unlesst they have info)
Anyone have any idea why this would happen? I can get he VIN number tomorrow and use this to do the check, just suprised that the reg doesn'yt show up.

The registration could be blocked, this can happen if they work in parts of the civil service that could be described as sensitive (e.g customs police etc)

Wasn't sure if the car had maybe had a private plate on and the system hadn't been updated as yet.
