    1. Woke up this morning feeling very pro-active in the issues with my S3 (stated in another thread), now after reading up on VAG testing on this forum, and also the very helpfull Coil pack replacing thread im feeling that before i get any specialists on the case there seems to be some steps i can take myself.
Firsty is this the kind of thing i need to run a diagnostic on my S3? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Maxscan-VAG-4...ment?hash=item4148a415a8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

2.I have 3 new Audi coils, is there any way of checking the old coils to see which one gone, ie Carbon, etc

    3. Thanks for any advice

Easy to test the duff coil pack. Start the car. Listen to the misfire. Turn off, disconnect wiring plug to cylinder 1 coilpack, start car, does it sound same or worse? If same, bingo, #1 is shot. If worse, #1 ok, turnoff, reconnect 1, disonnect 2, etc etc.
