VAG error code. Please help.

I have the following error message when I do a VAG scan on the engine module.

00575 intake manifold pressure.
17-10 control difference intermittent

1998 110BHP A4.

My car only has 50K miles on the clock, the MAF has been replaced as there was a flat spot about a year ago.

I have read that cleaning the inlet pipes sometimes solves the problem, has anyone got any additional info?

Inlet manifold is worth cleaning if you get the chance and a easy job for were it is positioned.......you will find it is sooted up and stopping the air flow through,,steep in a bath of petrol/diesel to clean it

Thanks for the advise!
The person who had it before me only did 2K per year, got the car with 7.5K on the clock back in 2002.
Will gove the manifold a clean when the weather improves.
