Had an interesting chat with an ex Audi mechanic I've known for years the other day.
He was telling me he's planning on buying some sort of VAG computer that will enable him to do all sorts.

He was telling me he'll have to buy it from the states as the UK ones don't let anyone do anything anymore.
According to him, your local dealer merely plugs in the computer and everything is dealt with by head office in Germany.

He claims, once he gets this VAG computer from the states,he should be able to change loads of stuff on my car, should I so desire.
He reckons he should be able to change power curves and even get rid of the annoying red-line auto-change up,which would be great.

Now he's normally a pretty straight-up bloke and I have little reason to doubt his claims.

Anyone know different ???

Could be,although he mentioned it would cost him a lot more than that, but he was probably including the price of a good laptop.

I love the comment at the bottom of the quarter mile datalogging graph.

"make sure your computer is snugly belted in! "

14 seconds to 93 mph ????

Oh come on...you'd be lucky if that knocked an open can of coke off the dash !!!
