VAG-COM ebay cheap lead and cd, does it work?

    As the title says, on ebay there are a lot of cheap obd2 vagcom leads and copys of the programme, do these work, i only need to clear minor codes etc

    The basic £10 leads and the free version of vagcom works fine.

    The ebay ones are very limited in what they do. ie: they will clear codes but not show you the description of what they are/were, you cant recode modules etc...

    If your just looking to clear the faults, it'll do the job just fine :)

    EBay leads and VCDS light will have limited functions but will be fine for our B5s.

    What about when you set your airbags off after being covered in snow from a lorry and smashing into a squirrel on the hard shoulder?! wont reset the airbag lights! :p
