2013 Audi A3 8V 2.0TDI Sportback MMI Techpack Advanced Retrofit and Key Coding!

The owner of this Audi A3 which has standard MMI with SD card based navigation drove down from Stonehenge after sourcing all the parts needed in order to complete an MMI Teckpack Advanced retrofit. Being an Authorised VW Group, VAG Car Coding is able to complete component protection removal and Key coding works.

VAG Car Coding fitted all the parts needed, completed the component protection and coding and then coded a new key for this owner.

2006 Audi A6 C6 (4F) 2.7 v6 and 4.2 v8 MMI 2G High to MMI 3G Plus Retrofit Coding!

The evenings may be drawing in but this is not an issue for VAG Car Coding as we offer evening appointments and one such session saw three And A6 C6 vehicles pop over for a rather interesting session. One vehicle was here for a diagnostic but the other two were here in order to have their owner fitted MMI 3G Plus systems coded to their vehicles. While MMI3G was an available option for these cars, MMI 3G Plus was not and as such cannot normally be retrofitted and coded without being hacked. Not a problem for VAG Car coding and no hacking needed as we are able to remove all the component protection via official VW Group tools!

2014 Volkswagen Polo 6R 1.4TSI Bluemotion Component Protection Removal!

Tidy VW Polo over today, where the owner needed to replace the media unit due to it failing a week out of warranty. After sourcing a new unit and connecting it all up he was presented with a component protection message, informing him that the VAG anti-theft protection was active and he had no sound from the unit. Not a problem for VAG Car Coding, and after checking all the purchase details and ID all was working as needed… and at a fraction of the deanship cost!

2014 Audi S3 Exhaust Valve Coding!

This Audi S3 8V has recently had a straight through pipe fitted the although the exhaust sound was better during town driving, it droned like mad during motorway driving. The owner had used an app in order to make a few coding changes to his vehicle, one of them being to disable his exhaust valves in the open position. Due to the drone he wanted to return the valves to normal functionality again however his app was not able to. Not a problem for VAG Car Coding!

2008 Audi A5 8T 1.8TFSI Coupe Diagnostic and Issue Resolution Session!

Used but new to the owner, this Audi A5 Coupe was actually being coded via another company when they contacted VAG Car Coding for help! This vehicle is in the process of being face-lifted and was purchased partly complete however no one could get the cars Climate Control working. After completing a dealer level diagnostic VAG Car Coding was able to see the issue and get the climate control up and running again. It would seem that while the car was in previous ownership the climate control panel had become faulty and was replaced, but just a fast unit swap was completed as whoever changed the unit never had the Component Protection removed (VW Group anti-theft protection measure) and the unit was also not coded correctly. Not many people out there that can do this… but as an authorised VW Group Services Provider component protection is not an issue for VAG Car Coding and via our online tools we had everything up and running within 30mins.

2014 Bentley Continental GT Diagnostic Session and Gearbox Re-Calibration!

Loving the Stealthy theme of this Bentley but hated the drive as the gearbox was very “clunky”. A dealer level diagnostic did not show any errors so we preformed a dealer level re-calibration, followed by a guided adaptation drive. Results? A night and Day difference!

2015 Audi RS3 8V Sportback Duel Channel Dashcam Installation and Puddle Lights Replacement!

@ants1701 back over to see VAG Car Coding, this time for a Thinkware F800 Pro Front and Rear Dashcam Hardwire Installation. We have installed a good number of these units now and they are proving to be a very stable solution. Hardwired to the vehicles fuse box and earthing points, all the wires are hidden within the vehicles trim and run along factory wiring routes. While the car was in we also took the opportunity to replace the standard LED puddle lights with some customer supplied OEM Audi RS3 ones!

2014 Audi S6 4G Saloon Rear Semi-Dynamic Turning Signals Module Install!

Following on from the MMI and Coding works we complete on this vehicle while at Arrow Service Center and Arrow Tyres, we also installed our Semi-Dynamic Rear Turning Signal modules. In the first part of this video you can see the difference between the normal turning signal (left) and the semi-dynamic (right), and the second part is with both modules installed.

Genuine SEAT Full Link Activations!

Yes there are hacks around that will activate SEAT Full Link and allow access to both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but visit SEAT for any warranty works and you can kiss goodbye to your “hacktivation” and indeed your media units warranty as the dealership software will detect the illegal software soon after connecting.

“But I can just get it activated again!”. While this is true you would be paying for a 2nd time and still have no warranty, and could have actually purchased the real thing for the cost lol.

For not too much more than the cost of an initial “Hacktivation” you can have the real thing, registered on the SEAT / VW Group network, logged against your VIN number, fully supported and warranty safe.

Volkswagen Golf mk6 GTI Xenon Headlights Retrofit!

Used but new to the owner, this car was brought over to VAG Car Coding as the headlights were not working correctly. After speaking with the new owner if seemed that he did not test the lights before purchasing the vehicle and on further inspection we found that the headlights were in fact retrofitted and not original OEM units. Digging in further we found that incorrect and poor quality wiring adaptors were used, no coding had been completed and that this retrofit was never going to work as the cars BCM was not the needed version!

After a good day of works VAG Car Coding had the lights up and running, retaining the existing BCM module, and the car was street legal once again. Most importantly the car was electrically safe!

2017 Audi S3 8V Sportback Exhaust Valves Coding and Magnetic Ride Re-calibration!

Stunning example of a facelift Audi S3 this one, made even better by the @MethodEffects splitter on the front!

The owner of this vehicle, a fellow Audi-Sport.net member, had previously had his exhaust valves disabled by us while at Audis in the Park 9, but since fitting a BCS straight pipe found the noise a little bit too much and wanted factory valve operation re-coding. He also wanted a Magnetic Ride suspension re-calibration in order to improve the ride of his car! After making the drive up from Southampton to see us we completed all the works and sent a very happy owner on his way home, in a car with way more compliant suspension!

2017 Audi RS3 8V Sportback Magnetic Ride Re-calibration!

Starting to see a good number of these new RS3’s book in with us, great cars but not without their faults… one of which is the way the Magnetic Ride system is calibrated from the factory. The owner of this RS3 had just fitted these 20” OZ’s and was not overly impressed with the ride both before and after fitting, with only 800 miles on the clock. VAG Car Coding took this beast out for an extended test drive with the owner. We tested all ADS modes on a few different road types and took some measurements, performed our re-calibration and then went back out for a test drive over the same roads. Job Done! Client loved the results and now has control and compliance from the Magnetic suspension system, and we managed to remove the “double bounce” effect when coming off of London speed bumps!

2015 Audi A3 8V 2.0TDI MMI4G Techpack version 2 and B&Q Amplifier version 2 Retrofit!

This vehicle already had an MMI4G TechPack Version 1 installed (MIB1) but the owner wanted to take advantage of Apple CarPlay so sourced an MMI4G Version 2 (MIB2) together with a 2017 B&O Amplifier. Retrofitting these units will trigger Component Protection, the VW Group Anti-Theft protection measure, which VAG Car Coding is authorised to remove.

Used but new to the owner, this car was equipped with the basic Audi 6 Speaker Sound System. The owner was not very impressed and wanted something a bit better without breaking the bank. Today VAG Car Coding retrofitted the Audi Sound System, which adds both a front Audi OEM Centre Speaker and an Audi OEM Subwoofer. We then coded in the new system and a few additional features!

Remote Session - London to Ascot - 2012 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Spyder Airbag Controller Module Swap!

The owner of this Audi R8 was driving down the road one day when his dash lit up with airbag warnings! After performing some diagnostics it was found that the airbag controller module was faulty and he tried to change it for a used / 2nd hand “working” one but this introduced more issues. Yes yes, there are hacks around that will activate Audi Smartphone Interface and allow access to both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but visit Audi for any warranty works and you can kiss bye bye to your “hacktivation” and your MMI warranty. The dealership diagnostic software will detect the illegal software soon after being connected and a flag placed on your vehicles database record.

“am not bothered, will just get it re-hacked”. Yer, thats one way to go but you would be paying for a 2nd time and still have no warranty. Why do this when for not a great deal more you can have the real thing?

2006 Volkswagen Caddy 1.9TDI Hi-Line Clocks Retrofit and Coding Session!

Caddy Project! Used but new to the owner, this Caddy is going through the process of being modded and today saw its basic clocks / instrument cluster updated to Golf Hi-Line clocks. The owner had also fitted both a RNS510 and a Multifunction Steering Wheel which were not working 100%… not a problem for VAG Car Coding!
