V6 Tdi Snub mount bolt!!!

HELPPPPP!!!!

How do you remove the top hex snub mount bolt? I got all of the others easily! I've tried jacking (with wood!) the engine slightly but the actual mount housing interferes with access to the 8mm allen bolt.

~Any easy tips/pointers please?

Done a search but no joy. the 1.9tdi looks easy as p*ss!

I put the front end into "service mode" when I did mine - gave me more room to play around with.

Have done it!

I ground off 3/4" of my 8mm allen key (I have a few!), stuck it in, 8mm spanner along with another 14mm spanner for leverage and off it came. All done and back together now. My old one wasn't bad to be fair. Only slight splitting at the bottom corner, but it was softer than the new one.

So it can be done without putting into service mode if you have a spare allen key!!
