Whilst trying to see what number is on my throttle body, i've uncovered a broken pipe, in two places. The pipe is the breather pipe and it's broken/snapped the at the rear of bank two and also at the front of bank two (passenger side cylinder head).

What problems (if any) does this broken breather pipe pose? As a temp measure could I try and tape it up until i'm able to do a better fix or replace the pipe?

It will probably idle high and run like pants as the air its drawing in isn't metered.

Idle is fine or very low, depending on how the MAF, Lambdas etc behave. never had high idle problems.

If it's a breather, does that feed back into the air intake or throttle body then?

Yes it should but it should only vent crankcase vapours if it's split then it may be drawing unwanted air so it's getting more air than what the MAF is reading.
