Tyre size

I've just bought a set of genuine rstts but the seller had bought them to fit his a4 with 235/45/18 tyres on without checking the correct pcd.

im aware this equates to 5% larger circumference than the current 225/45/17 on my s3.

Will i get away with fitting them as they only have about 4-5mm it doesnt seem worthwile selling them on so thought i might as well use them if i can as they will need changing relatively soon.

On 18's the correct size is 225/40/18...

Those are not only wider but rolling radius will be larger too... personally I wouldn't use that size tyre....

having looked at a tyre calculator the circumference is an extra 95mm will just sell these on and get the correct fitment.
