What would you guys say...235 45 17"s fitted on sport 5 star genuine audi wheels... ive gone on door pillar sticker 38 psi allround, dealer says 36-38.
Decided to check as my car was only doing 100 miles on 16 quid local @ 91.9 pence per litre (approx 26 m.p.g !!!!) found my tyres had 30 psi allround,at 38 psi it feels a bit of a bumpier ride:sadlike:

OH! nearly forgot A4 TDI (B6) 130 BHP.

    (originaly had 15 inch alloys!)

Hi if you study door pillar youll find 38psi is for 5 passengers with luggage. You should be runnin 32 for everyday use according to door pillar.:crying:

:whip: Ive had my sport 2 and half years now, Main dealers told me run 36psi despite pillar label saying 32, followed there advice and ive had to replace my tires early cos theyve worn out down the middle prematurely, a classic symptom of over inflation. Im sure they do this deliberatly so as to stitch you in to a new set of skins at every service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as the doctors advice,he said 38 is for passengers+luggage,32 is right,it only tells me 38 (fully loaded) so at the moment im taking doctors advice on 32,unless you guys have any other ideas. My a4 is the standard tdi 130 bhp...fitted with 7.5j x 17s 235 45 rubber.

I'm running on 32psi and I've done 22000 on the set of tyres I have on at the moment. (will say they are a hard compound and cheap! Dealer fitted them when I bought them)

My dis reckons around 41mpg, in truth mine varies anything between 37 -43, you tried changing air and fuel filters, run some Forte fuel treatment through, also check for air leaks on turbo side. How many miles out of a full tank do you get?

dont know out of a full tank, tried it on 100 and 200 mile drives on 100 miles 17.41 litre it uses. I think ive worked out at 91.9 pence per litre 100 miles local steady driving it uses 17.41 litres, very bad,no black smoke or anything no visible leaks and full to the brim dis shows 515 miles, done forte aswell!! any idea's?

I think your MPG is abit more than tyre pressures.
My DIS is 45.4 with my mods i think that is ok.If i was getting 26 i would get rid of it 1.8t's MPG are better that that.

just been to independant vw/audi garage who put there diagnostic equipment on and took it for a road test VERDICT: Over fuelling slightly but we dont know why,no faults have been thrown up,injector readings:0-.75 -0.42 0.66 0.52 mg/str he said these are good, coolant sensor is at 86.9 which is ok,everything is ok but we dont know why its overfuelling...so if you guys have any idea's please let me know. THANKS.

The only thing i would think of is try having it remapped by dpm or Angel tuning, there map will automatically adjust fuelling to there setting and could sort the problem out, also you end up with a quick motor too.

went to another good diesel bloke, here are his words: if reved hard every car will throw out a bit of black smoke (as long as its a diesel) Your cars been ticking over for a full 6-8 minutes now,and when i reved it there was quite a bit of smoke, its cuz its been sitting on idle for nearly 10 minutes(quite normal) but i rev it now for the next 2-3 times theres only a bit of black smoke, again quite normal.......personaly i dont think its overfueling otherwise it would leave loads of black smoke every time, but in your case it leaves as much as any other car when you boot it hard! fuel is measured by ECU so i dont think thats wrong. Try changing your

ALSO NO FAULTS FOUND OR LOGGED
"fuel tempreature sensor" now "whats that do" "where is it located"?
