Lee: What is a bosch "red top" injector? Part numbers or the car they came from is more useful, as the same color is used on lots of injectors.
they were saab reds mate, you posted links aggggges ago and i did the yellows, Lee went red.
ah yes, i thaught you'd gone with the big VXR injectors, but they're blue.
saab reds are prob about 10 years old, new vxr injectors can be had for £115 http://www.courtenaysport.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=401
some more info on vauxhall injectors may find usefull here http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/fuelling_20LET.htm#BiggerInjectors
great thread!
why you stepping the bore down so much?
make the exhaust bigger then
Bit of an update.
I have had to make a spacer plate as there wasn't enough clearance for the new turbo to bolt flush to the exhaust manifold without the turbo housing touching..
This little lot all need welding together to make a downpipe to fit the Garrett 5 bolt turbo flange..
I am waiting for an adapter to allow me to use the oil feed that I already have but it's an odd 7/16 x 24 TPI for the turbo and then an M14 to fit the oil feed..
A few studs and some increased diameter silicone hoses and I think it'll ready to bolt on!
any updates? where did you get you oil feed and also the fitting you mention? also how costly were they? cheers
