turbo flutter-stutter

Hey guys, new to Audi's, just picked mine up Monday. a bit of an issue has crept up, when I accelerate, it begins to flutter or stutter a few times as the RPMs go higher. it is the worst when cold, but still does it (although less) when warmed up. one guy suggested that it was a wastegate issue on the Turbo...what do you think?

it is a 97, 1.8T quattro.

I had the same thing with mine changed lots of parts, looked for boost leak.
Turned out to be the coils.
Trial and error till you find the problem.
I changed dv,vac lines,cts,maf,plugs then finally coils all 4 £80del. buypartsbuy
Drives great now.

my parents did this and it was a split hose off the inlet manifold.
