my k03s exhaust housing has some nice big cracks inside it so could do with a new one if anybody has one from a goosed turbo lying about.not sure if k03 and k03s housings are the same?

needs to be from a ko3 mate. You will be lucky to find a housing without cracks in it.

My hrbrid was rebuilt with a few cracks in it, i have been assured it will cause me no problems. In fact my last unit self destructed and was the sme state of cracing as it was when it went in Its to do with heating and cooliing properly

my turbo is a k03s so is a housing from a k03 ok? where it has cracked it has touched the turbine but it dont seem to have effected anything. when i took the turbo off one of the bolts that hold it to the manifold snapped inside the turbo housing as well,i got it drilled enough to tap it for a smaller bolt but a new housing would be better.

Ahh my mistake, you need a k03s housing then. The spindle will more likely be off balance now too

there was very minimal play in the turbo so it seems healthy enough. dont think i have much chance of finding a k03s housing then.you can see where the blades have rubbed it slightly but seems not to be a problem anyway.

I'm surprised the turbo is still in one piece if the blades have been clipping the housing.

Only requires a tiny amount of metal removed from the turbine to knock the shaft out of balance, and once its out of balance it'll shake itself apart in no time...
