hi guys not long ago fitted a new turbo to my S3 along with a relentless manifold, now I noticed that the dv was leaking so I change it over to my not long ago serviced 007p (along with new style piston) but the car still flutters/chatters? my vacuum pipe is also new going from bottom of inlet to top of dumpvalve. I will also mention that the car has had a N249 bypass but the module is still plugged in.

    any ideas?

    too small a pipe?
    kinked pipe?
dv spring too stiff? (does it push up if you prod the piston with a pen)

is there vacuum at the end which goes onto the DV when you have engine running at idle?

so if its chatter you are hearing, and there's a decent vacuum signal there then the DVs sticking or the pipes too small a sbore so its not acting fast enough.

Is it a flutter sound on lift off or venting woosh noise?

Sbore? What you mean mate and its definitely not a venting woosh noise, it is flutter under light accleration and hard accleration mate

right ive just had the 007p off with the engine running and the vacuum from the inlet is pulling the piston up in the valve so its not sticking, ive just changed the pipe from the inlet to the FPR too as it looked abit ropy but its still doing it :( I really don't want it to f*ck this new turbo :(

if its not opening quick enough from insufficient vacuum vs too stiff a spring..... you dont have much choice

Right tried a new oem dv and its still the same! If the actuator on the turbo has been setup up incorrectly could this cause the flutter?

if oe dv still makes the fluttergate type noise, then it can only be infuccient vacuum to the dv surely?
long pipe small bore? n249 still there or direct off manifold ?

a sound clip might confirm what you describe as flutter from what we might call "normal" woosh...

Plus a photo of the pipework so we can maybe spot any errors.
