Turbo chatter and noticeably down on power

Evening lads wondered if anyone can help as you were all very helpful before,

After work today the car had developed a loud chatter off throttle and is noticeably down on power. I drove the car this morning and it wasn't like it and car has been parked at work all day, also drove to the beach yesterday hour and a half journey each way and wasn't like it or down on power...

Some help would be much appreciated

DV is most likely not working... a scan with VCDS would be useful too

Hello lads cheers for the reply i did do a scam no faults popped up to be honest but have suspected DV myself as well is that the most likely? It is standard DV as well

From what you describe then yes it sounds like the DV... a std DV is fine... yours is probably the one that came with the car... latest ones should be fine

Yeah I've never changed the DV myself so now may be time to go for updated dv 007-008 instead of a standard one now everything else around that area has been replaced so guess it was only a matter of time

Unless you want to pay extra for a shiny one just get a oem one

Yeah got one today fitted it ... Chatter has gone but still minimal boost but same code so guessing N249 looking for thread to delete it?
