    think my turbos died!
driving last night, clouds of smoke everywhere, pulled over and switched off!
on turning the engine back on, OMG, grinding, rattling noises, then i turned it straight back off!
the recovery guy who took me home, reckons it sounds like the turbo!

now the thing is i have vag-com'd this morning and these are the only codes i get (other than my A/C ones that are always there:mad:)

Well the turbo isn't electronic, continued driving would probably have thrown some boost limit errors as it wouldn't be delivering any boost, however that would have killed a lot more than just the turbo.

I would just clear the other codes once the Turbo issue has been sorted and see if any come back again.

Is it under warranty for the Turbo ?

    Best of luck.

    cheers paul!

bought the car in february, and it came with a 6 month motorcare warranty, so im going to try and claim it under warranty but im not going to hold out much hope after hearing stories of warranties not really being worth the paper their written on!!!

just thought that if it was the turbo that had blown, there would have been more specific fault codes!

wonder what that engine control module fault is all about then???

Well it is intermittent and from the Central Electronics module, so could just be a bus connection issue.

I would get the Turbo issue resolved, make a note of the error and then clear and see if it comes back.

Have you scanned the car before and it's been clear, or is the first scan that you have done ?

Good luck with the warranty issue, but as it came from a dealer there you may also find that you have rights there.
