Hi All,
I've got (and had for a long time now) an odd noise when letting the throttle off on my 1.9tdi (avf) A4.
I've found this video which sounds just like it
The comments on there & from other internet diagnosis, it looks like it might be the Actuator on the turbo?
I've seen the turbo is near the top & looks to be pretty accessible, can you just unbolt the actuator from it & put a new one on?
I'm a bit concerned with the setting up of the actuator rod as I don't own a pump to set it, would setting the length the same as the old one do the job or is that risking damage to the turbo?
Also, before doing any of that, is there a way to confirm that the actuator is at fault without removing it at all?
Cheers for any advice.
