TTRS engine swap into an S3?

Hi mate Tsr performance do some really nice stuff and there big turbo kit are really nice but even if you go for TTE Set up they do really good custom mapping
Hello nil,
I'm based in South Wales so I'm thinking TSR Performance are the most local (1.5hrs away) reputable tuner so I'm definitely considering them for any work on my S3.

Have you used them before then?

As I said a few posts above I'm hoping to try TSR Performance possibly this or next week to have a power run done if they can fit me in just so I know were the powers sitting now. Sort of like a health check. ;)

Yep I've used them and really happy with all that I've had done always good to have a Health check just to make sure everything running sweet

Good to get feedback from members that have actually used them then.

What Audi have you got then nil & have you had much done to it?

Hopefully my S3 is running healthily enough ~ it's been looked after AFAIK with the water pump & timing belt/tensioners being changed the other year by the previous owner. It's hard to tell as I don't have anything to judge it against though so would be good to find out.

Swapping the TTRS engine into your car takes lot's of effort and money, I'm currently doing so you might say.

Thanks for the info POPOV. ;)

I actually came across one of the TTRS engine swaps you linked in the form of BossFoxes Skoda Yeti, ...or rather he did me at a track day at Castle Combe. After seeing how well his Yeti went I eventually found out using my internet detective skills just why it was so quick, lol.

If you skip to 2:23secs in my video of my old car on track at Combe you'll briefly see his Yeti fly past. :D I was taking it easy in my supercharged 350Z as it was it's first outing on track after it had been charged but still I wasn't going that slow.

After speaking at length though with S3Alex mainly and looking at my options I think I'm best off sticking with the engine that's in my S3 & seeing how far I can go with that. :grinning:

The Yeti owner is Richard, cool fellow. adding some more power now as his going with a larger turbo kit. He was one of many inspirations for my swap I'm doing at the moment.

I already did the TTE420 on my former 2.0 TFSI engine was happy with that, rumors are that TTE will be releasing a TTE4XX .

You'll probably get back to the idea of the engine swap when you've completed the turbo upgrade on the 2.0 TFSI. The 2.5 TFSI low rev torque output is really something. It is a heavy engine but lot's of fun and the exhaust audio is really something.
