TT dsg misfiring?

My mates tt has recently developed a problem where accelerating in 4th gear causes the engine to hesitate as if it's coughing and the engine light flashes for about 20 seconds

Also when changing into 3rd and 4th there is a jerk, not sure if this is related? The car is a 2007 tt 2.0tfsi with DSG running stage 1 revo (260bhp) which I think is unusually high for a stage 1 maybe straining the fuel pump

could be the remap' MAF. Coil pack or plugs. best get it onto vcds to give you a better insight

Same thing happened to my car and a few others I believe. New coil packs and plugs cured it. I bet a VCDS scan will show a misfire on one of his cylinders.

If it were coils or plugs would it not do it in every gear? This only happens in 4th
