Transmission oil changing

Guys, is there any DIY guide anywhere about replacing the gearbox and diff oils with oil specs as well for a quattro?

Gearbox - 75w90 fully syn @ 2.75L
Rear diff - 75w90 fully syn @ 1.9L

Youll need the big 12 point spline socket to drain them both !!

Filler plugs -

Gearbox - 17 or 19mm sump plug key iirc
Rear diff - 8 or 10 mm allen key iirc

Always make sure you can get to / undo / have the right size tool for the filler plug BEFORE you remove the drain

You dont need to remove the drivers wheel or passenger for that matter it can be accessed easily without removing the wheel as the filler plug is on the n/s on uk cars !!

The fill plug for rear diff is on the drivers side on uk cars !!

Aye those are far better.

How about this, Motul Gear 300 75W-90 Racing gearbox and differential lubricant, for both box and diff?

I can work my way around engine oil but the gl4/gl5 specs for gear oil need adhering to.
