Just wondering if anyone has tried this mod.

Its the torch from the Vw Touareg which replaces the cigarette lighter and stays on constant charge until you take it out to use it.

Not being a smoker would be so much more useful than a cig lighter which is never used!

    Think its around 16 quid.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, as I don't smoke neither, but I can't see myself using the torch neither lol.

Sounds like the old BMW torch you used to get in the glove box.

Cool, but pointless, and then you loose them. :)

Sounds like a good idea being a non smoker.

Its a great little torch! Fits neatly into the ciggy lighter socket...

I used mine to death, literally and need a new one now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

    Welcome back dude /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have the Touareg Flashlight in my TQ and love it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif We bought one for Dad's A6 and he was blowing fuses too. Turns out that the lighter socket in some cars is just a bit bigger which allows the light to short /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

    fits fine in my car.

but bear in mind its a face lift dash, and also has the double din head unit, so ashtray may be differerent as its all moved downwards to fit.

Why doesn't somebody organise a group buy if people are interested?
