I'm looking at an a4 avant with Tiptronic gearbox, I was just wondering does this mean it has flappy paddles or the nudge back and forth gear stick? sorry if it's a bad description.

Thanks in advance

I doubt it will have flappy paddles tbh.

It will just have a normal Auto selector stick, with the little section you can move over to and push forward and back to change gear.

Thats what i thought, thanks. Just because he said it has the tiptronic steering wheel which confused me a little.

Hi

You may want to do some research before your purchase an Audi Tiptronic. I have an Audi A4 1.9 Tdi and have experienced some major issues with the gearbox. Garage said it was common fault. It may only be an issue with my model but worth doing some research.

Hmm, my 2001 A4 Tdi 115 has 178,000 miles and the tiptronic works fine (I occasionally get limp mode from the vvt but that's another story).
