maybe not too sure, the fault code is blank 1 sensor 1? which is pre cat i believe and says symptons can be engine cut out :/ will be having a look monday just wondered if its something i need to do asap.

From what I can see, that code is the precat lambda, if its throwing a code it'll need replacing. 2nd lambda is turned off as you have a decat.

probably a stupid question but could i not just swap the 2 around as the 2nd one isnt being used?

Just noticed a really scary thing,
jacked the car up to have a look at the o2 sensor etc started the car and the WHEEL TURN? goes to about 5mph on the speado i can stop it with my had but when i let go it starts back up again and yes its not in gear

few scared the c### out of me tbh put it down and started it again and it doesnt move so least thats good ha.
update on the colour change... cleaned my car do get ready for the plasti dip went inside to get a micro fibre cloth, came outside and its raining... end of update

also bagged myself a used lambda sensor from a car being broken hoping it will be alright was Â£20 instead of 70 odd so worth a shot
are u doing the whole car? or just the bits by the windows?
just bits by the windows, as im not really a fan of plasti dip much prefer wrap as far as application and finish goes

update on my wrap problem, finally after a week or so they have replied to my emails and after a few back and forth (they originally just said sorry and told me to buy another roll) haha which i quickly replied f### off they are sending me 5 meters of matte black and i just had to pay the postage, not over the moon as i still had to pay Â£12.50 but least it will finally be finished, the plan is to do the roof and bonnet matte black so the top half is black and bottom half orange sounds rubbish but hopefully will look good.
the only issue im left with is one one side there is a slight shade difference still in the arch and doors but i am getting a decal that will cover most of it anyway so hoping you wont notice it once done.
regarding my engine, took the o2 sensor out gave it a little clean (probs did absolutely nothing) put it back in and cleared the fault codes and it has yet to come back on however i can still smell alot of fuel and my mpg is at 20 :/
my boost gauge is also reading -0.7 bar where as before it sat at -0.9 does this mean i have a leak?
finally got it up to "high" speed on a closed road obviously and it starts to stop and start type of thing like its hitting a limit?
Should look alright tbh....a mate with a MK4 5 door golf GT tdi around my area has done similar. He sprayed the roof and bonnet black,with the rest of the car in like a lime green/Kawasaki green colour
Definitely replace that lambda Tim, not worth the risk.
Dont forget that your maf was a little unhealthy (slight jump in gs readings at low rpm) that would also explain your mpg and fuel smell.
yeah got another one in the post wasn't new but for Â£20 thought id take the risk.
gonna get another maf then best to get brand new or can i take the chance as they are well expensive plus the breakers down the road has one and he hasn't got a clue about car parts and the price etc
Go for it with the MAF....I read that Jardo went through 2 or 3 until finally he got a second hand one that works.....just stay clear of ECP and only buy it directly from TPS or Audi if you do buy a brand new one.
Anyway...more to the point- where's this breakers that hasn't got a clue about car parts and price aigh ;-) haha
what about gsf? got one on there for Â£50ish not really many on ebay need to have a look at part numbers etc tomorrow unless anyones got it to hand on what i can use
also just a thought, if i convinced her, the mother has a aum in her tt can i swap the mafs over if her's is totally oem would i matter having a slightly unhealth one on it? bit cheaky i know but hay what are mums for

the replacment wrap got delivered but was completely mangled and destryoed so the delivery guy is taking it back :/
now to my problems
i have swapped the maf over with my mothers one (aum tt 48k miles) so its healthy also swapped my o2 sensor over BUT...
im getting a very high pitch noise sounds like when the pipe to the sai is unplugged?
also when i start my car it revs up to about 2500rpm then drops down and still flutters about around 1000rpm
finally on idle my car now sits are -0.4 vaccum?
How does your Mum feel about you taking her MAF????
she aint got a clue what it does so shes fine with it, mine willbe fine for her driving anyway
Well a little update
MAF made no difference but im keeping my mums as its healthier got a few more errors come up misfiring on 1 and 3 but think this is all down to the same problems with over fueling etc, its going in to see Ben so he can work his magic on Wednesday morning and hopefully is just a vac leak somewhere and nothing else, was planning on getting an FMIC and some 312 brakes but money is a bit short so i settled for this for now:
gonna do my dog bone and remove my sai as i think its got a leak to it too (its really noisy)
also this happened when driving yesterday bloody bird must have eaten a lot
Yeah my SAI was shagged, making weird noises so I had a full SAI delete today to fix it all

nothing has changed since last post really got my black wrap sitting here just havnt had the chance to do it, the plastidip is holding up well atm too which im glad about
well instead of training today i decided to have a rest day and do a bit on the car, my plan was to remove the sai and try find any obvious vac leaks before going to Ben.
as soon as i started i noticed the brake booster had come off one of the inlet nipples so i feeling like a tool and now i have no leaks as far as i know still going to get a smoke test just in case.
all disconnected and blanking plate put on however there were a few lines i was unsure about.
1 being from the sai into a metal pipe that runs along the inlet and ends up here
into the grey looking valve? i just blocked it off but should i be running it to somewhere?
i also moved the catch can to make it easy access
i will be venting to atmos when i get something to cap off the tip.
now to problems :/
while underneatht he car i removed a hose that was in the way of the sai pump little did i know it was my power steering and got a face full of fluid so not feeling great atm :/ but now i have real trouble turning and make a horrible noise which im guessing is from the lack of fluid but the strange part is i cant go into 5th gear now either, i can do it just about but takes alot of pushing and getting it out of gear is even worse, 1st - 4th is fine tho?
