    Hi guys,

I've been a member for a few years now. I've used the forum as a great source of info over the years and as a contributor to a few other (non Audi) forums I feel it only right I get more involved with this one.

Like most, if not all, of you I'm passionate about my cars. I'm a borderline obsessive detailer and am quite happy spending several hours over the weekend cleaning, claying, machine polishing, waxing, sealing, detailing etc.

When I joined the audi-sport I had just bought a black tuned 1.8t 8L. Milltek TBE, Carbonio intake and carbon cover, Forge 007 valve, S3 box, suspension and brakes, RS32 suspension parts etc. Was running a Revo stage 2 and was a beast. Sold it because was starting to show its age. Had 140k on the clock and the turbo was getting tired.

Then went onto a red '05 2.0 tfsi S-Line A3 Sportsback. That was pretty standard but I put an uprated DV on, freer flowing panel filter and a stage 1 map. The guys at Unit 20 (Neston, Wirral) done the work and were excellent in every way.

Had that for a year and a half or so then earlier this year bout a white '08 TTS S-Tronic. Didn't have anything done to that but fell in love with the S-Tronic box. Only had that a few months and have just sold it yesterday.

Later today I'm going to look at a red '09 3 door S3 S-Tronic. If it checks out I'll be bringing her home. I'm going to get in touch with Unit 20 again and get a Milltek (resonated) TBE, Forge twintake and stage 2 map (either Revo or Shark), along with the DSG map. After that I want to sort the horrible wheels out, and some shocks and springs (lowered) and sort the stance out. I'd love to get some help with this because the more I read the more confused I get. I want a nice offset but without spacers. Handling the most important.

I commute about 20,000 a year but can't bring myself to get a crappy work car. I spend a couple of hours a day in the car so why not enjoy it?

So, some plans for the next car with some budget to actually get the work done this time!

I look forward to seeing you all around, and I'll get some pics up.

    -Rob-

    Thanks Sandra,

Picked the car up last Friday and spent most of Sat getting as much cleaning as possible done before the weather turned.

Not finished and not machine polished yet but getting threre :D

Going to get it for a Revo Stage 2+ and some H&R springs in a couple of weeks. New wheels on order so watch this space.

Welcome back @Mesa , I had a similar story. I had an A3 in 2011 and wasn't exactly an active member now im back with my new car and have been made to feel very welcome since returning, i hope you have a similar feeling.

Great choice of wheels and colour combo with the car

Myself and @antowens (looks local to you in wirral) are both the events organisers for the Northwest and we are trying to set up our first meet next month in Warrington (link below)

Also would you mind adding yourself to the 'upto date northwest members list' if your interested in future meets, please :)
