Wish mine was that price :(.

I'm paying around £1400 for just a 2.0FSI! I am only 21 with 1 years no claims and I've had a little bump, and wrote my Clio off, which was my fault though.

totally agree with you mate.. what people tend to do in Aust. not sure about the UK but give false adresses as to where the car is kept to lower premiums and it works everytime

So true as insurance covers you nationwide... it asks where it is kept over night ect they will never check

So if you state that it's kept at your address overnight, but keep it somewhere else and something happens and you can't get it to your address, you think insurance will pay out?

I would think they would providing the claim wasn't dodgy, what happens if you go away let's say u stay at a hotel or maybe at mates house and something happens, nowhere in my policy does it say I can't leave my car anywhere other than my house of a night.

agreed if the claim isnt dodgy i dont see why the hell not.. not sure about you guys but on the product disclosure statement never states that your car has to every night parked at your house... they cant enforce such none sense on people and restrict there freedom

If you think an insurer will pay out if they find that the address the car is insured at isn't the primary place the car is kept then you are mental. Trust me on this one.

they dont need to know... another hint if you have relatives, family members , or for that matter close friends you can put their adress down and they can easily back you up as to where the car is parked overnight unless they tap into ur conversation liek the NSA do lol.. then they WONT find out... my friends done it with his maserati

You under estimate how sly the other party's legal people are, and those of your own insurer. I have been in a similar situation* and it did not go well. It's great fun until you have a bump where both insurers will use any method to wriggle out of a claim or shift liability.
I'm all for cutting corners to save some cash but this aint one of them lol

    * though make no admission that I ever at any point used a wrong address intentionally or otherwise when filling out an insurance policy.

you are 100% correct in your statement, and im not saying that such corner cutting methods go without risks as with everything we do in life... everything has it drawbacks.... but to date it works nonetheless..

never have i done anything of the sort buy putting it under a different address , just saying its feasible
