Had a superb day down at Brands with AMDTuning.

Shaun and all the guys put on a superb time for us all but it showed me that the car needs a few things and the driver needs a remap.

    So....
    A load of new parts

Superpro bushes,TCA kit and WALK kit.

Team Dynamics 18x9 ProRace 1.2 rims

    Toyo 245x40 R888s

And a lot of other bits to follow later.

Then the driver needs more track time and a brain upgrade.

    Xmas coming early this year.

All of the parts nearly ready plus a noisy little surprise.

Should be some pics to follow soon and an update.

Not Clubsport...this time....just the full set of Superpro bushes and the Anti-lift kit, plus a few adjustments to the ARBs.
    The noisy surprise should impress.

    you're doing amazing job alex.

but i thought you hand anti lift kit? i have it and it helps a little with the traction. would love more front negative camber but it's not possible without adjustable top mounts or lower tt arms.

keep up with the good work.

    Thank you!
I don't have an AntiLift kit,so when the bushes are being done,we thought of,and decided to do this as well as tweaking the dampers and the ARB settings,to try and loosen up the rear a bit.
There's still more to come with a bigger turbo in the pipeline for later in the year, along with something totally new,and as below,on this occasion a noisy new addition.

Softening the ARB a bit to make the car tend towards oversteer a little more.....the underlying trait is still towards understeer when it's pushed hard, and I'd like to make it just a bit more neutral if possible.

LOL, talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing!

    LOVE IT! :)

My Ibis White S3 also looks totally standard (I don't even have the blacked-out rear windows!), although I must admit to 'considering' getting my standard alloy wheels painted black in the very near future...

Those tyres will be awesome in the dry, but I fear they won't last too long - as the insane levels of grip will undoubtedly lead to an increase in 'hard' driving - and most enviably - the hugest smile on your face as you tear around roundabouts!

    Happy days...

    Should be ok.

They're medium compound tyres so should have a few miles in them plus they'll have to come off for winter!

What are you going to wear as your Winter shoes?

I have Michelin Pilot Sport 3's all round, and they've been pretty good - decent in all conditions, and seem to have lasted for ages...

I've got a set of PS3s in the garage for when it gets really cold and the R1Rs if it's just a bit wet.

Spoilt for choice right now. !

Let's hope not.....Ben at AMD spent a lot of time researching the offset and clearances with Team Dynamics last week.
The general feedback across the net is that the rears are OK with plenty of room, but the fronts need real attention to the offset to clear both the coilovers and the arches.

    £400 + VAT excl fitting.

Really nice quality parts and I'll report back on what it drives like later on.

OK...just got the car back home after all this has been done.

My first impressions are that it's a very worthwhile upgrade,if not a cheap one,as I had the Superpro bush kit fitted at the same time.

Everything is obviously tighter and more direct, with a surprising amount of feedback via the steering, which has always been one of the S3's problems,as the steering doesn't feel as if it's connected to the wheels.

The car feels more stable under cornering and braking, with much less movement under braking, and understeer is also reduced.

I was able to get the car into some of my favourite corners faster, and hold the corner better,so I do wish I'd had this lot in time for the recent track day!

The end result is the car feels more stable,as well as giving better feedback.

No way of knowing what real world effect the arms have on their own then?
