The joys of owning an S3! I need to do a 30,000 mile service with brake fluid change, cam belt and timing belt change and i also have a cracked front anti roll bar. Looks like bread and water for tea!

Damian, surely you are in the trade, so it should't realy cost that much for you, unless and Audi stamp is what you was after?

We're registered to do the service and also have an authorised stamp but when coming to sell the car a DPM Autostyling Service stamp on a car owned by DPM Autostyling doesn't really mean much to the potential buyer.

Well, I doubt you will cut corneres to service your own car lol, I mean one service then people might get funny, but a few I would trust it.

    The way i see it,

You do your own Service - £100
    Audi service £400

    do this for 3 years

    cost you £300
    Audi £1200

So in your service book you have DPM stamps, but because you saved money on the service doing it yourself, you can afford to sell the car cheaper

if that makes sense, Prices above just examples, not real service quotes :)

About to have the 87k major (long life) service done - all filters, all oils (incl. quattro rear diff) and brakes etc.

Audi quoted approx. £550 all in - and have an excellent local garage that uses Audi parts quote £289.

A no brainer really but was wandering what you guys have paid for this service (A3 TDi Quattro Sport).

    Thanks

My 02 plate S3 has just clipped 30K miles. Bought it a year ago with 20.5K on.

Is the 30K service normal as the car has not come up with the 'service me' flag yet?

Thought the Timing Belt and Cam Belt were the same thing, hope they're not trying to charge you twice for the same thing?

I've just been quoted £372.83 for a major long-life service by Bedford Audi, plus £82.25 for brake fluid. They did my Haldex+oil earlier in the year and that was about £110.
