The Diagnosis......what a shock!

So as you all no I had a few problems with my car (rough idle,Juddering,lack of power)
I've found out from a friend of mine VAG specialist that it is the timing chain!!
so a bit of work is needed before the remap and miltek!

However one thing I am FURIOUS about is I paid for a full service not long ago September to be EXACT!
spark plugs,brake fluid,filters and oil at a reputable garage as my mechanic was on holiday!
only to find out last night that the spark plugs have not been changed neither have a few of the filters no break fluid top up and he thinks possibly the wrong oil which is why it wasn't running as well!

so my question is to you guys is what approach would you take to this if it was up to me I would go down there and give them a few choice words and demand my money back however I don't think I will be able to keep my cool if I had to listen to there excuses!!

any tips or advice for this process

Its called THE garage based in Frampton cotterall! very tidy clean looking garage clearly all the gear.....NO idea!!

That's shocking!! Why when you are paying good money for a service people always try and cut corners and cheat ya I would be going to get my money back for sure and my car would never be near there again hope you get it sorted out

It is so hard to find a good garage nowadays they all want to cut corners.

If you need a good garage for a cheap price let me know my friend works in kwik fit, and is really good and can do a good price

No offense Andy, but Kwik-Fit doesn't have the best reputation. If your mate's so good he needs to move to a reputable company - kwik-smart.

You will need proof to argue the point to the garage tbh mate, so ask your guy to get pics or what's needed to show them, then if they wont listen & if the proof is definitive, claim from small claims if it can be a contributing factor to the issues, but it was almost 2 months ago, so it maybe a waste of time, you may get your service costs back, but not allot else, your choice.

If plugs were changed a couple of months ago they should still look brand new quite hard to prove though. If air as pollen filters were done look for a date stamp, they will have them and will give you an indication of how old they are. And if need be that can be your proof.

the service you had done wouldn't cost you anything if you done it alone all the filter on the car are **** easy to change include the plugs you'd be looking at 30 mins tops for everything excluding the brake fuild that is

as for when they change parts what i ask is i want proof that you've changed the parts, and show me the replaced parts; its too late for that but should keep it in mind

Probably a waste of time even complaining - simple answer is ... don't go there again!
