Returned to my parked car and the first thing I see is a dent!!!
Through the tears I then notice a note on my windscreen.
I was so relieved that the person who caused the damage was honest enough to leave their details.

But then, upon reading the note, my happiness turned to sadness.........................

Ok, it didn't really happen to me, and as bad as it must be for the person on the receiving end (and I do feel sorry for 'em), it is pretty funny.

Ok, I just picked myself up off the floor from the laughter! That is genius, fair play to Jack.

Don't get me wrong, I don't condone that sort of this, I was extremely unlucky to have someone hit my old car, smash the wing and front bumper then drive off. I had to foot the bill for it (£450) and then two weeks later it happened in my work car park (another £200).

Bastards - I could of sworn it was deliberate... But who knows!

However, that note takes balls, and a certain amount of ingenuity to make that up on the spot. Even if it was your car you'd have to laugh, simply because it's genius!

    A similiar example of ingenuity.....

Back in the day a mate of mine had a pretty good sound system in his Escort RS Turbo.
He made the mistake of pulling up to his house blaring it out on a regular basis. The local scum took notice of this and decide to smash his windows overnight and nick his system.
He replaced it a couple of weeks later and they did the same.

Decided he couldn't go through the pain and expense of it happening again so he didn't he replace the system.
Parked it up as usual and when he came out of his house in the morning the window was smashed because the same scum had thought he had installed another stereo.

Wondering what he could do to do to stop them from smashing his window to steal a non-existent stereo he decided to leave a massive note on his dashboard that read "THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A STEREO IN IT AS IT HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO TOO MANY TIMES".

The next morning he found that once again the window had been broken. The note he wrote had been thrown on the floor of his car.
He picked up the note to find the words "JUST CHECKING" scribbled on it. :banghead:

That would of been it for me, the red mist would of descended.

New stereo would of been fitted, I'd of driven it round blaring it out again. Then waited EVERY single night (taking a week off work if necessary), ALL night in a bush waiting for them with a large, heavy implement of some sort to teach their thieving asses a lesson they wouldn't of forgotten.

    Ever.

I would be inclined to contact the rental company at perth to see if they have an employee called Jack, its very odd for a hire car to have a headed notepad in the car.

I saw someone do this years ago in a Halfords carpark, so when he'd gone I wrote the guy another note and added the numberplate of the car that hit him.

haha thats funny. But dont think i would find it so funny if it was me on the receiving end!

My mate just had his brand new polo smacked in a car park, however he had a genuine note left, and got it all sorted through their insurance, so there are some good people out there still!

If I saw someone bump another persons car I'd walk over and stand next to them with my arms crossed watching them until they put some details down lol.

Could tell you a few car park parking stories.
None of them are that interesting or funny though, so I wont.
Had to be there I suppose.

    cheers

Sadly, they are few and far between. I was only moaning in another post that I had my dust caps AND aerial nicked! :(

See, if they were to nick me aerial they'd have to take the whole boot...so hopefully that won't happen. You people with your fancy dust caps and aerials will never learn :p

I had a local chav-tastic person run up the bonnet of my 306 and try bounce off the wing mirror a few months back. Gay-lord! Luckily the only damage was to the wing-mirror, and a £10 scrappy visit did me good.

HA, I would have been too then! I wonder if some clepto kid has a million regular dust caps in his bedroom then?!

There really are some odd people around who i'm sure just steal stuff for the sake of it.
