I had a conundrum recently when I had to choose my new company car.
I've had 2 A3's over the last 7 years (2.0 TDI Sport then S Line) and they are brilliant cars but fancied a change. I told myself im going to get AWD in my next car as i travel all over the UK and winter can be a bit hairy sometimes.
I tested Landrover freelander, Q3, Mazda CX5 which are all ok, but I kept getting back in my 2010 8P and thinking this is much nicer.
So long story short, thought I'd look into the A3 TDI quattro, great car, but tbh not much difference in price to a manual S3.
In the end my heart won and I decided to go for the S3 S tronic hatchback. I'm still smiling from the test drive! However a part of me was thinking I dont need a 300 bhp hot hatch and its going to be uneconomic, too hard for a daily driver etc etc, but readin through this forum on a regular basis has put my mind at rest.
