roadworks have recently re-chipped the road near my house. basically poured a load of tar down and then poured stone chips on top. I cleaned by car yesterday and noticed it is covered on little spots of tar, which has really annoyed me!!! anyone got any ideas about the best way to get rid of these???

ive used my clay bar to get rid of mine, but there are products out there just for Tar removal.

dont want to sound stupid, but what a clay bar??

your best bet is buying a tar remover like Autosmart Tardis (this is the higher end stuff).... for small deposits you can use a clay bar, this is a like a bar of soap that you scrub your car with to get all the deposits off the surface including any wax etc etc...you then wax/seal the paintwork....

id have a look on this site for a full explanation polishedbliss.co.uk

I'd also recommned the clay bar. Just do some reading on the best methods of using it. You don't wanna add more swirl marks etc.

Tardis is the way forward and maybe a claybar. I tried to clay some tar spots off mine and it just smudged them though. Tardis will shift it, quality stuff.
