After spening 4 hours waxing the car it looks great. Then the sun hits it and it looks rubbish. Is there anything i can buy that can get rid of them horrible swirl marks pref that i can use by hand. I did try t cut but that made things worse.

cheers

I don't think T-cut & modern paints mix or maybe just not with hard Audi paint, it's pretty much impossible to remove the swirls by hand you really do need a DA polisher for that, probably the best you can do is use a polish with fillers in rather than a cutting polish, I thing Autoglym super resin polish is a good one with fillers in to use by hand but you'll need arms like popeye to do it and spend plenty of time on each section.

thanks for the help i just went and spent 10 quid on some scratch x from maguires THATS NOW IN THE BIN.

We've provided an in-depth guide on this subject on this sticky thread...

Also, we've also got lots of useful information about polishing hard paint and removing swirls on these links...

Digesting the information in the above links, Menzerna Intensive Polish would be your best bet for correction by hand, followed Poorboys Black Hole Glaze to help hide any remaining defects afterwards.
