Hey guys I have got a no name hu off ebay which so far is so good!

But I need to swap the wiring over on the power, but unsure which wires these are.

Also the rear speakers are not working atm, which I assume is down the the audi amp, which wire do I piggy back from on the original loom to activate these with the remote on my iso adapter?

Not finished yet thou, I need a tv arial adapter and also can I just plug in the audi amped arial into the HU or do I need an adapter, I have not even tried yet!

Many thanks in advance, lewis

the perm live is the wire above the brown earth, usually solid red, or red with a white or yellow stripe. Ignition switched live is 2 along from the brown earth and is yellow with red stripe.
You need an adapter to feed the RCA's from the new HU into the rear amp. Or better still rewire the rears directly to the HU.
The antenna needs an adapter also in order to power the antenna amp.

Why on earth have you bought a no name HU? You can get a really good Alpine on ebay for £25-£30

I got a pulsar dvd unit with a tv tunner built into it. Has 4x60 watt max output and seems very good so far.
Mainly so I can play 4 gig of music.

HMM on the rears I got a wiring iso converter http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi-wiring-adaptor-speaker-input-p-1349.html
this one actually and does not seem to make a difference, I am guessing I need to conect that blue remove wire to another cable, but which I am unsure.

Yes the blue wire needs to connect to the power antenna output on the new HU, this will provide the trigger to switch on the rear amp.

Ahh well , not sure when that is!! Will have a look later, and come back with some detailed pics to try and help out.

Right live feeds are swapped over, and usedd a terminal block to help there.
