Swap iPod Dock for CD Changer?

Hi! I recently got myself an Audi S3 2008 model and came with the iPhone 4 style dock in the glove box. As I've got an iPhone 7 and new iPod seems as though this is going to be more or less useless to me!
Would love to have my iPod play through the system but doesn't look likely.
How easy is it to swap out the iPod with a cd Changer? Is it plug and play with the Changer? Thanks

Yes it is, but why bother? The Navigation system has 2x 4GB SD card slots that can hold far more music than a 6 CD changer. And display the tracks on the nav display and DIS.

Make sure you buy SD cards and not SDHC cards, you can fit a max of 512 tracks/folders on each card.
