Ive just got some h&r springs for my s3 and Im looking for fitting in the northeast (newcastle area) can anyone reccomend somewhere and also how much you think it should be.

Thanks Matt

thnaks hopefully he will be along with some ideas! I have been quoted £180 including alignment from a place at uni, but somewhere close to home would be easier!

come on people the night shift should be in by now! surely someone has some idea??

Learn something new and try it yourself - easy peasy if you are mechanically minded!

£180 to fit springs is ridiculous in my opinion! I'd do it for half that!!!

Took my mate and I 90mins to do and that was jacking up each corner at a time!

That includes a full 4 wheel alignment afterwards aswell mind. And I have fitted suspension to all my other cars myself without any problems! Just im in the middle of Uni exams so havnt got the time or the patience at the moment.

The price you have been quoted sounds fair with the laser alignment included, I was catually quoted @ 4 hours labour !

I'd be happy to pay what you have been quoted.

The fronts can be a right bitch, getting the leg out at the bottom needs some serious smacking with a chisel! Then the 3 bolts on the bottom wouldnt turn so needed to be grinded off! I wouldnt do them again, did them on an Octy VRS and i think the A3 has the same spec. The rears are dead easy!

I was quoted £150 with alignment from midland VW (obviously thats no help to you)

Sounds like I will just go with the price ive been quoted then, They are VAG specialists and i know their work is good which is always a good thing!

I think it is always worth paying a little extra if you know the garage and their work.
