Hi there. Only had my first A3 for just over a week and want to get started on some little mods, just small interior elements first to get the ball rolling. Booking in to have AUX port fitted by a fella on here but firstly, it has a phone cradle fitted, and is something I really want to remove. Does anyone have any suggestions about removing it or replacing it with something I would use? If I take it out, will there be holes and how big etc?

Appreciate any pointers.... Image below.

Just further the me asking about this, for anyone who has the pghone mount and is considering taking it off or having it removed by an engineer, this is what it looks like behind it!! Perfectly cut HUGE hole in the dash.

Waiting for a specialist car restoration company to get back to me regarding cost to repair, although i'm sure it won't be repaired to be un-noticable but we'll see....

Anyone? I have the same problem. Just bought a 2007 A3 with this factory fitted phone clip.

I too wonder what to do about it (I realize I’m weighing in on quite an old post, but maybe some new ideas have come up over the years?)...

1. Remove it, and cover up the hole with some sort of Audi/S3/Quattro badge.

2. Wrap it, and mount a simple magnetic holder on it.

3. Leave it and let the missus keep nagging me about it.
