what a massive pain in the !@$£ the 215/35/19 that has never stayed up longer than a week has finally died, the inside sidewall has collapsed the tyre is bulging out so bad all the way round and the vibration was so bad that i couldn't go over 40mph,
so i think im gonna go a bit wider.
anyone running 225/40/19 or 225/35/19 on a 8.5j up front on a facelift sportback with any issues ?

Depends, wheel could be buckled or cracked, hence tyre not staying up lad!

Also with stretched 19's avoid drain covers pot holes etc .No problems here with normal use ,But I have a couple brand new Knackered Falkens with eggs due to not watching road surface blemishes ...You want looks you have to except these things happen :p
