I'm getting a strange noise when accelerating, the best way I can describe it is like a "gurgle" noise coming from the engine

I've scanned the ECU and got the following error code but can't track it down on the Ross tech wiki

Code 17535 (P1127-35-10) System Too Rich - Bank 1

After seeing this, my inititial thought was the MAF messing up the fuel ratio but I'm not sure if that would account for the sound it's making so I was thinking it could also be the OEM recirc valve playing up.

It's on a 2000 AMK S3 - no engine mods

Anyone ever had this before? - Any ideas what's causing it?

Any ideas would be appreciated

Mike

i think i have a similar problem to you, but i haven't had it checked on vagcom. i get a very low noise when starting to accelerate over 3000rpms. i thought it may be nothing but i am interested in what you find... mine is 2001, standard spec.
