Stone chips :(

    Hi there ,got a few (about 6) stone chips on my windscreen , now in my insurance its says £100 excess for windscreen, is this to get it fixed or to get a new screen? Also if i claim will it bump up my premiums? Cheers..

    Windscreen excess is normally for full replacement of cracked or badly damaged screens

    If its chipped but can be repaired then this is usually free.

    Best thing is to phone your insurer and ask if repairs are free and who provides the service for them, i.e. Autoglass or similar

    autoglass mate , you usually get a number to ring with the pack you get with your insurance
