That is shocking, I hope your car gets repaired quickly. It's a sad world we live in when people do things like this. Will keep an eye out.

Thanks guys - there can't be more than 50 of the suede option rs3 wheels in the UK - let me know if you see one out in the wild where it shouldn't be.

I reckon the insurance bill will be huge, looks like a lot of interior damage... The doors will be deadlocked so getting those out of the windows must have made a right mess :-( I cant believe people can do this type of thing.. Stealing its one thing but all the damage that caused they might have just robbed the keys and taken the car, I'm sure the OP would rather have a new car... ****ers

Cheers guys - will keep you updated on progress but car is off to Audi now. Bill will be huge as there is lots of small damage all over the interior dragging the seats out of the window. Defo a pro job as they hit the alarm sensors in a way that didn't set it off. Car was still deadlocked when I got to it with both keys secure with me.

Completely gutted but i suppose this is what to expect in 2012...

With the rarity of these things I can't understand the mentality of stealing them in the first place - surely they will surface in the used market or will be spotted by someone down the line (hopefully as a result of forum buzz) as they will probably end up sticking out like a sore thumb. I guess that is unless, they are for someone overseas ...

I hope the culprits get their collars felt quick and the OP gets the car sorted on insurance pretty quick - looks costly though ...

As a final note though, surely the quality of anti-theft security must not be suitable for this to even be possible on what looks like a normal street for goodness sake. As an owner of such an expensive car I would expect the anti-theft devices to be singing it's head off no matter what some cheeky thief cuts or smashes. Maybe Audi rely too much on technology and how clever they think their design and engineers are without taking into account how smart and downright blatent some thiefs can be.

I really feel for you mate...it once happened to a pal of my, with his MR2.

I had an early White T-Bar with leather, he had a Red one with the Red/Black cloth seats. Got up to go to work and discovered his MR2 propped up on bricks....all four alloys gone. Then he opened the door and found both seats, door panels, steering wheel and centre console all gone!!!
Amazing! He didn't hear a thing, he has two dogs in the house as well!
OK...a fair few years back, but Toyota wanted £1100 per seat! Big insurance job. Poor chap was in one hell of a state over it too, so know how you must feel about this.
    Sorry to hear.
Theiving toe rags....I hope they get their come-uppance soon!

I think you've definitely done the right thing by posting on here as well as other places mate.. as you rightly say, the suede wheel is a rare option - if it comes up for sale, someone on here is bound to find it

Oh my god, that is horiffic. Sorry to see that mate and hope it gets sorted and repaired back to original condition as soon as. Makes me so angry that there are people out there that have absolutely no morals and think it is ok to do this to someone elses property. Tougher punishments are needed to deter these sort of people. Hope the scumbags get caught.

I saw a program the other night that was hhighlighting a new type of car theft where they can get hold of the keys - what they were basically doing was: taking photos of the car, getting the reg and vin numbers, going to Germany with fake ID/passports, phoning Audi and telling them they'd lost the keys, getting dealer to sort new keys out coded and ready for a few hundred bucks, coming back to England and just walking up to the car with the key and nicking it! One gang has been caught, but they were warning it's not an isolated case! German car owners beware!!

BMWs are even easier, just break in plug in an OBD port and you're away.
