Hi, long time reader, first time poster. I removed and replaced the glass from my wife's facelift A3 passenger side mirror. It adjusts out and down, but is reluctant to adjust in and up. The glass is clearing the housing and I have reseated it a few times,but it doesn't seem to to want to play ball. Any suggestions gratefully received.

only time i have seen this happen is when the mirror wires were not connected properly.
maybe take the glass off and see if the motor is moving properly in all directions... if that looks like an issue get the car scanned for faults.

The mirror glass removal/refit has no interaction with the 4 way connector/wiring, if installed normally, so maybe you've inadvertently damaged the wires to this connector when fitting glass, so remove glass, check wiring for any damage, then as above test 4 way with glass removed.
