Am I the only who thinks he should of been dead years ago with his captain scarlet attitude?

I heard this on the radio this morning.
Couldn't believe it!
Killed by a stingray apparently - something about a poisonous barb at the end of it's tail that pierced his chest
And I always thought it'd be a croc
very very sad indeed.
Very shocked to hear this, this morning.
The dude was a legend
whoooah bit harsh! I liked the guy
Well was always a disaster waiting to happen... Just probably not the the way us or himselft expected to go.
Just seen this on Migweb.
In this shitty world of technology and mobile phones, he was refreshing with his fascination of the natural world.
Huge amounts of character.
I have to confess, I mis-heard this on the radio first thing this morning & thought it was Steve Earle.
R.I.P. you were one cool dude.
I thought he was going to go to a croc or a snake. The irony is I think he was doing an environmental programme.
I liked the dude and his ambitions / visions etc...... Thoughts go ou to his family... (and already the jokes are out.... I'm aware of 2 How do they think of them !!!!)
Top bloke kept me gripped to the tv with his stunts, again agree with the other posts, i though he might of been killed by a snake or a croc. still a very sad day and i really feel for his wife and two young children, not fair on them but at the end of the day he died doing what he enjoyed. RIP dude!! :-(
What a shame. R.I.P.
ok i've now seen 4 pics classed as funnies but due to my role on ASN I couldnt possibly post them up
Ahh , Go on.
ok, tomorrow when i'm at work as I got sent them at works email address and I cant be arsed to boot the laptop up !
The man was a Legend!
I see no shame in a heartfelt joke............
loved his shows on tv, very sad loss
He was the kind of fella that would probably laugh at them anyway !
R.I.P. Totaly gutted the man is dead, even if you didnt like him you have to respect his bravery with very dangerous animals for TV
May be there will be a "steve irwin" day in OZ in his honour !
The guy was amazing - the way he appealed to both adults and children alike was a change from the usual natural world type journalists. He really seemed like a normal down to earth guy, someone you might meet anywhere you go.
Both my boys and I would sit glued to the TV when he was on, his mannerisms and ability to remain entertaining made him an incredible source of both information and entertainment, it will be a long time before anyone else matches his ability, if ever.
Well said Outlore, they guy was a legend! Its a real shame that things happen to real genuine people like Steveo..RIP..
RIP, i have to say whenever i get a chance to watch sky, the channels he usually appears on are always the 1st i check just to whether he was on! I hope someone else takes a leaf out of his book and adds as much enthusiasm to a wildlife program as he did...
It such a loss to are TV screens.
He was such a great person and someone who cares about are wildlife.
Feel very sorry for his family and he will be missed a lot.
Just hard to think it was a stingray that killed him after all those dangerous animals that he as been next to
Well thats the way of life i spose when it's meant to be it will be.
What a shock.
R.I.P STEVE You'll never be forgoten.
