Has anyone else experienced on their new a3 at slow speeds the steering wheel is straight .. On motorways and on straight roads the steering wheel seems to sit off centre .. Please can u confirm its a characteristic ? It drives straight but wheel slightly off centre ever so

Oh this is one of my pet hates with cars! It's because the steering wheel is not held perfectly 'level' when the front wheel tracking is set at the factory... It can be sorted with a four-wheel tracking adjustment, as long as the technician doing the adjusting knows what they're doing... Most new cars are set correctly because of the clever and accurate equipment they use at the factory when they rolling-road test the cars at the end of the production line but occasionally a car gets through, slightly 'off centre'...

If it's correct a low speeds it should be correct at high speeds. The only way it can be off at speeds will be cross winds as I cannot see it be off at different speeds.

Also different road cambers will affect how much off centre the wheel is...
