    Haha funny fcukers :)

    Sandwich has got it though

Story is my oem one broke up around the o-ring and leaked so naturally replaced it but did so with a Gsf part which happens to have the same consistancy as chocolate and flex's which in turn leaks like a sive so decided it was time to come up with a stronger solution possibly with an -AN fitting or 2 ;)

Still working on the coolant temp housing

Have been considering plumbing the tial wastegate coolant into this and the hard return pipe that runs round the block, but not sure if its worth bothering about?

Cheers mate but although it has crossed my mind selling them, its generally so time consuming unless I payed to have a couple of the parts CNC'd that it would take far to many hours and I'm currently doing bits as and when I get a chance at work ;)

Well the decision has been made....camshafts have been ordered

Have managed to get my hands on a set of the last cams which is formally known as Bob Quindazzi's custom grind, have tried to keep as much of the bottom end as the .82 ar will sacrifice some of this for top end flow and if IE cams ever come back in stock i may change to IECVA 2's at a later date once have seen more graphs and data

    3651's

    3658's

    Bob Q Custom Grind

Ive also ordered some new hydraulic lifters as the ones in the head i was unsure about and don't know their history

Also have ordered some Genisis II 1000cc injectors and will use on a aeromotive adjustable fpr i picked up off of vortex which should leave plenty of head room if ever needed ;)

Only other thing i'm still waiting on is my order from IE with the inlet mani as have been waiting for them to get black ones back in stock so will chase that up and should have all the remaining parts building up in my US shipping account ready to ship over apart from some of the AN fittings and lines to complete the build :yahoo:

Tegiwa who do jap only stuff haven't long started doing AN fittings and are good if not better quality than other brands. Should be cheaper too if you wanted to get hold of them. Good guys too.

Cheers mate will keep them in mind when i shop about for them ;)

Will be making some lines and bits with the block on the stand but other parts will have to wait till the engines in the bay to work out lengths and angles of fitting as well as making up the tip and charge pipe

Am starting to collect some bits to do a battery relocation, so far I have ordered: odyssey extreme 40, some 50mm* M6 lugs for the battery, sourced some 50mm* cable out of some scrap 4 core knocking about and will be making my own battery mounting and brackets

I have a couple of Q's and would like to pic your brains on the last one ;)

I afaik I need a connector block of some description and maybe another couple of different sized lugs?

Do people run an inline fuse on the power feed incase of the insulation breaking or getting worn down and shorting direct to the chassis?

I would also like to mount some form of terminal posts or some form of connector under the bonnet that can be used to jump start or charge from if needed as the battery will be hidden and pretty inaccessible so any ideas or links for these would be much help

    Cheers

Got my bits back from coating :)

Have also started on the oil cooler mounting

Have drilled, tapped, countersunk and locktighted some m6 bolts into some ally that will be welded to the top of the intercooler

Then found some stand off bolts which cut down and drilled and tapped in one end

Will be able to wind them onto the bolts and then put nuts and washers on the top bracket

Have started on the battery box but haven't got any pics

Have finished my battery relocation today and am pretty chuffed and the engine bay has so much more room for more important stuff 😉

The standard battery does fit in there with the panel back on but it didn't leave any room for mounting brackets and personally would like a bit of a gap in the area incase get t-boned

Pulling the cable through was a pita but ended up tapering the conductor and used a bit of oil to aid it

    Empty battery tray

Took the fusebox apart to look where was best to bolt it down but have ended up sticking it with some silicone to the bracket

Will get some better pics when it's dry

Some pics of the battery bracket and install

Just for reference as someone had asked about crimping the lugs on here's the crimping tool that I used

A couple of better pics of the relocation now it is dry and can see the bracket that raises the fuse panel a little bit better

I bought a forge UNOs from Sandip in case I ever needed it in future and so I could have a play

Bill had tried various boost levels when mapping and settled for a slightly lower one to help with heat and to run more timing but my WMi wasn't working at the time :)

Just turned the boost up a tad and its now briefly going to 1.8bar but generally holds 1.7 tailing off to 1.5 ish around redline and the butt dyno agrees that it's got more poke

And of coarse the gospell gs readings have now increased by 12gs

Dyno off of the liquid which admittedly couldn't do a full run due to traffic so done in 3rd from a reasonable speed as had cars behind me

Well it's now gotta have more power because its got a higher gs reading and the liquid says so ;)

That plan may already be set in motion ;)

Am still going to use the 6 inch velocity stack so will be a filter with a 6 inch neck.....have looked at a few which are around the 300mm long and 200mm dia :)

Note to self: don't pull out onto the main road and light up all four wheels through 1st and 2nd in front of a police car :(

He said that just because I've got a powerful car I shouldn't pull out in front of people....even though was no where near him which he admitted as he said he would do me for careless driving if was to close

He checked over my tyres and let me on my way with a stern telling off lol :)

Pretty sure the maf tube is 90mm but don't quote me that ;)

The filters a k&n but will be getting changed for pretty much the biggest 6 inch necked filter I can fit in there

Any change could bung up a pic? Did you have a green spare spring knocking about in the end? :)

Just looking on pipercross website and the biggest neck they do is 146mm so a bit too small but that's 200x250 and rated to 500bhp. Also do custom sizes up to a size of 300x600!! Now that's a big filter lol.

Green list a 150mm neck which is 190/100 wide and 200 long rated to 530bhp.

Jetex list a 155mm which is pretty much exactly what you'd want. 120x200 is the biggest and rated to 420 so the lowest but then we all seem to love jetex and seen the gains they can give. Slightly thinner but then slightly longer than the ones we all fit to 80mm mafs.

Can find a monster k&n of 152mm neck, 191/178mm wide and 457mm length! Lol. Maybe a bit too big bit that's £130.. Next one down is 279mm for £69.

Cheers mate.....must have spent a bit of time searching for all that :friends:

Think the k&n may be the way to go but the 279 long should be more than sufficient

With everything I do on the car now I am trying to future proof the car so some of this will be overkill but the second it stops becoming the car I commute in (when I get a job further away will get a derv) it will probably get some form of GT35 slapped on there as should realistically just bolt drop in lol ;)
