Squealing belt type noise

I have the above noise sometimes when i first start the car ( within a couple of min's of starting). It soon goes, but is getting worse. if i turn the aircon off, is stop's instantly, and if i turn it on again it does it again breifly.

Any idea's?

your aux belt tensioner is ****** or else your aux belt is ******.

Aircon tensioner is seperate, and manually adjusted. Sounds like it just needs tightened up?

cool, will have to have a look on sunday, after it's had it's mot on saturday, if i can get it booked in at the usual place.

Got the car booked in today for it's MOT and....

It passed with NO advisory's

happy days mate. you need to get your belt sorted now i would be fairly confident its your belt or the tensioner like i said.

As my wife pulled away the mechanic heard the noise, just said pop it back when you get a chance, and i'll have a look for you. so another job for me to get someone else to look at ;o)
