I've had an irritating squeak on the front suspension of my a4 sport since new (June 03). The first dealer told me to "think of it as a feature not a fault". The second told me that a4's are prone to noisy arms and replaced the front lower suspension arm - made no difference.
Is this just my car? £22000 and squeaky suspension - am I too fussy? Or should I expect more?

My 2002 has the same issue....I just learned to live with it. However, I do think Audi should properly fix the issue.

Hmm, thanks DS - tell me, did you complain to Audi - and did they attempt to sort it? If so I guess it was unsuccessful from what you say - but I'd be interested to know. Mine sounds worse when driven over speed bumps or undulating surfaces - have to say, I hate squeaks & rattles on cars and mine seems to have more than I'd expect from a "quality" manufacturer.

I had this on my old 97 1.8T. There was a recall issue with the lower wishbones and the bushes 'drying out' due to the material they were made from. My dealer changed both sides foc, and one when out of warranty!...

Hi All,My 18 month old A3 tdi quattro creaks and groans from all corners, has done 30k,6k with me as the second owner, should I have a moan when it goes in for it's next service? I thought it might be because it's "sports"..

Hi all.. this problem is a worn out lower ball joint, you can get them cheap at euro car parts, about £60 a side.
