My hand brake is making squeaking noises every time I pull it up! Which is extremely annoying! I'm guessing the way to fix it is to remove the plastic bit and give it some oil or something? What's the best way to remove the plastic cover in front of the hand brake lever?

Is it the plastic around it as in the console or is it the handbrake cable bracket etc itself?

LOL, its just the plastic surround - it stops making noise if you touch it.

Hey, that comined with an airbag that is said not to work as its dual stage I'd better drive carefully LOL

I'm guessing it's the bracket I think, I'm mechanically challenged so not exactly sure what it is. Just want to know how to get the plastic cover without breaking it and having a look.
