hi was just wonderin what size speakers i have in my 2001 a3 1.8t fwd. it doesnt have a bose system.

ok thanks for that. is there anyway of fitting slightly bigger speakers to the front doors??. maybe 5.25's?? there any adaptor plates e.tc?

Yes you can go to 5.25", but depth is limited to about 56mm so they need to be slim components.
MDF adapters are far better than the plastic ones, have a look on ebay.
