I am thinking of doing an oil service on my S3 but have been thinking about other possible jobs I could do to at the same time. I will be getting the coolant changed soon but I will get that done at a garage. And I did the Air Filter late last year/early this year.

Which spark plugs do you guys use? What tools are required?

Any other suggestions for fairly easy engine service bits?

Service interval for spark plugs from VW / Audi is every 40,000 miles. Could also change the fuel filter as they are only a few pounds and not difficult to do. Tools for spark plugs would be 10mm spark plug tool on an extension bar, think the torque for spark plugs is 25Nm. If you want to really want to do something to help longevity whip the sump off and check the oil pump feed isn't gunked up, it and the o-ring cost about 13 quid from Audi, clean the sump whilst it's off and some new sealant when putting it back on, peace of mind job.

Yeah but aren't they 16mm for the plug but when you buy them they're classed as 10mm?
